We are delighted to share the news that Mental Health and Employment Partnership (MHEP) services have now supported over 1,000 people with severe mental illnesses, drug and alcohol addictions, or learning disabilities into paid employment to date. That’s 1,000 lives changed.
Mental Health and Employment Partnership was set up in 2015 to launch the world’s first ever Social Impact Bond (SIB) aimed at helping people with mental health problems into paid employment, following the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.
Coronavirus has brought unprecedented challenges and supporting the more vulnerable members of our society has never been more important. Despite all these challenges, MHEP services have helped over 100 people into work during the pandemic – a true testament to the resilience and dedication of everyone working in our service provider and commissioner teams.
We are so grateful for the hard work that our service providers and commissioners have put in over the past five years to get us to this point.
Here’s to the next 1,000!
