Gary Johnston

He has over 30 years’ experience in both Australia and the UK in assisting rehabilitation / vocational services achieve strategic quality improvements, increased service user outcomes and overall growth objectives.
Over the last 15 years in the UK, Gary has undertaken large scale Individual Placement and Support (IPS) service integration and improvement projects, managed national randomised control trials to guide government thinking, won and operationalised large scale new services including a catastrophic case management service for insurers, remote mindfulness services and condition management programmes for corporates, embedded a vocational rehabilitation service for cancer patients at the Christie Hospital and the development of a followership construct of leadership for a large London NHS Trust.
Gary is a visiting lecturer at various universities and an active member of the WHO European Mental Health Coalition, focused on developing leadership within mental health systems, supporting mental health transformation and improving mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
