Kaj Siebert
Kaj Siebert is Chief Technology Officer for Social Finance and is responsible for the technical direction and strategy of our data science and technical work.
He is also responsible for our IT and data security and leads our GDPR preparation. His passion is for the ethical use of data end ensuring that once personal data is collected, it should be used in the best interests of the individual.
Prior to joining Social Finance in February 2016, Kaj spent over 15 years as CTO for a number of FinTech startups, where he designed and implemented information and analytics systems for top-tier investment banks. Before that he worked in the technology and strategy group at Reuters and performed technical due diligence for the Reuters Greenhouse Fund.
Kaj was a key player in the early introduction of Java and Linux to the astronomy community. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society.
