Biography

Kate joined Social Finance in May 2018, and works in the Impact Incubator. Prior to Social Finance she spent five years with Fauna & Flora International, an environmental conservation charity. She worked in Cambodia for three years, where she oversaw the establishment of Cambodia’s first Marine Protected Area, a project which seeks to support community fishing groups, alongside the sustainable management of the area and the growing tourism around it.

She has leveraged funds and capacity building opportunities for numerous initiatives across South East Asia, including Myanmar and Indonesia.  She has also worked separately with the Environmental Justice Foundation and the Blue Marine Foundation, where she worked in the UK on community and fisher-led marine conservation initiatives.  

She holds a M.S.c in Conservation from Imperial College London and a BA in Biology from the University of Oxford.
