Biography

Sharan is an educator, facilitator and changemaker with over 15 years’ experience in the world of start-up non-profits. She designs, delivers and scales education and training programmes in the UK and globally, and is an experienced project and team manager. She has worked with a range of organisations, from charities to corporates, to Eton and Feltham HMP.
 
Sharan spent 12 years working to grow the financial education charity MyBnk where she led the education team, spearheading their work with marginalised youth. She’s now self-employed and works with organisations such as The Good Lad Initiative, Rethink Mental Illness and Hatch Enterprise as an education, anti-oppression & well-being facilitator. She also works independently as an anti-racism trainer & consultant, working with teams to understand and challenge racism both individually and collectively.

In her free time, she helps to run #POCImpact - a network supporting People of Colour in the social impact sector and founded The People Protest – a collective organising community solidarity events. She also facilitates Google #IamRemarkable workshops for women and marginalised groups. Sharan is a trustee for the Abram Wilson Foundation, an RSA & Clore Social fellow, and was named a Rising Star by Women in The City in 2020.
