Saskia Thomas

Saskia joined the International team at Social Finance in 2021, during this time she has designed, advised on blended finance and outcomes-based finance initiatives for leading multilateral organisations including the World Health Organization (WHO), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Organization (FCDO) and the European Investment Bank (EIB), as well as social enterprises, NGOs and global philanthropies. She has particular interest in the role of innovative finance to drive more effective local markets and outcomes in the health sector.
She joined Social Finance from UK public sector consulting practise of EY, where she specialised in programme and governance design to facilitate data-driven decision-making in UK central government departments.
Outside of her role at Social Finance, she currently holds a trustee position at the Marr-Munning Trust, a grant giving organisation that focusses on driving education and livelihoods outcomes in lower- and middle-income countries.
Saskia holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford.
