Jana Bakunina
Jana focuses on social and impact investing, building on Social Finance’s outcomes-based social investment programmes, such as Community Transformation Funds in partnership with Macmillan Cancer as well as growing a pipeline of new opportunities with her social investment cap on.
Jana joined Social Finance in July 2025 as Social Investment Lead. Her focus is building on the legacy of Social Impact Bonds, outcomes-based social investment contracts, such as Community Transformation Funds in partnership with Macmillan Cancer, and developing a pipeline of social and impact investing projects.
With background in corporate finance, venture capital and strategy, Jana co-founded an impact investment office, backing underrepresented founders in 2018. More recently, she was a senior adviser at The Social Investment Consultancy, focusing on social impact investing, advising such clients as Social Investment Scotland.
