Lela Kogbara
Lela is Co-chair of Social Finance and a director at Place Matters whose mission is to ensure that communities are at the centre of tackling the root causes of inequality to create sustainable, systemic change.

Lela has spent most of her personal and professional life trying to shift the needle on inequity and injustice.
She was previously a senior leader in local government for 25 years, advisor to the Department for Education and NHS England and co-founder and director of Black Thrive Global.
Having been an activist in the Anti-Apartheid Movement, she is now a trustee of the Anti-Apartheid Legacy Trust and is also a trustee of DFN Project Search.
