Matthew Croston

Matt joined Social Finance in 2021 after 13 years working in multinational corporate insurance. Since joining, he has managed a range of innovative projects across issue areas including school exclusions, refugee welcome, end of life care and domestic abuse, often working with partners to turn complex system challenges into practical, outcomes-focused programmes. He has also supported Social Finance to strengthen its approach to capturing organisational impact and improving health equity.
Matt is passionate about community-led systems change, local resilience, and the links between social justice and climate justice. Outside work, he is actively involved in initiatives that support the wellbeing of his community and local economy.
