Fred is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and an experienced business and financial consultant with significant non-executive experience in the public, private and voluntary sectors. 

He held various senior roles during his 30-year corporate and business banking career, where he led front line teams through significant change and was responsible for overall business strategy, performance and risk management. Fred now coaches a range of businesses and is an accredited mediator who seeks to develop collaborative relationships to enhance value for organisations and communities.

Fred has a long involvement in organisations dedicated to improving opportunities and outcomes for the less fortunate in Northern Ireland. His previous board appointments include Simon – a leading homeless charity – and the Children’s Court Guardian Agency which represents the interests of children through family care proceedings. 

His current appointments include Include Youth, a cross border cross community charity which works with care experienced young people; North West Regional Education College and the Business Services Organisation, which provides a wide range of digital and operational support services to the Health and Social services sector across Northern Ireland .
