Joanne Barber
Joanne is a Senior Workforce Lead within the IPS Grow team, supporting services across the Midlands and East England. She is a Mental Health First Aider and an Associate in Welfare, reflecting her ongoing commitment to holistic support and cross-sector collaboration. Joanne is an expert in psychological trauma, depression, and personality disorders, alongside veteran support and guidance and good wellbeing.
Prior to joining Social Finance in 2021, Joanne was a palliative nursing assistant, supporting individuals with mental health barriers into employment, and lecturing on the complex nature of trauma at Chester University.
Her dedication to supporting those facing barriers to employment has earned widespread recognition—including from HRH Princess Anne and the Armed Forces Covenant, where she received the highest award for her work with military personnel.
