IPS is the best evidenced form of employment support for individuals facing exclusion from the labour market – including people with physical and mental health conditions, drug and alcohol addiction and those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Since joining Social Finance in 2022, Niall and his team have secured over £300M of new investment to expand IPS access in the UK. IPS services now support more than 50 thousand people in the UK each year, making this the largest scale-up of IPS anywhere in the world.
Niall has nearly 20 years’ expertise in work-health commissioning and delivery. He created the largest IPS service in the country and was a strategic lead for the health-led IPS trial. He has worked in communities facing multiple disadvantage, including as UK Head of Income Generation and New Initiatives at the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.
Niall has also led and commissioned multiple programmes for young people aged 14 – 25 facing at risk of exclusion from education, employment and training.
Niall is a Fellow of the Institute of Employability Professionals (FIEP)
