Oben Desmond Ashu
Oben Desmond Ashu is a Software Engineer and plays an integral role designing and building technical solutions to support multiple projects across all Social Finances’ areas of impact. His work ranges from improving the security and maintainability of internal systems to supporting the delivery of robust, data-driven tools that underpin Social Finance’s work with partners.
Since joining Social Finance in 2025, Oben has helped develop the Data Platform and has enhanced the IPS Grow Reporting Tool. In these and other projects, Oben focuses on creating technical solutions that are both practical and sustainable, enabling teams across Social Finance to work more efficiently and make better use of data.
With a background in software development, Oben combines technical expertise with a collaborative approach to problem-solving. He works across multiple technologies and tools, applying best practices in security, testing and maintainability to ensure that systems remain resilient over time.
