Social Finance’s partnership with Chasing the Stigma

In March 2025 we embarked on a seven year partnership with Chasing the Stigma, funded by City Bridge Foundation, to achieve systemic change by improving the Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector’s access to consistent and high quality data around suicide, suicide attempts and self-harm in London. The project will also focus on ensuring that those communities who historically have been excluded from support systems are able to access the services and resources provided by the VSCE sector to prevent suicide

Over the coming months we’ll be working with Chasing the Stigma to develop data platforms to support statutory and VCSE partners to understand the drivers of suicide. We’ll update you on our progress here. Chasing the Stigma’s role in The National Suicide Prevention Network

On Friday, to coincide with World Mental Health Day, The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales launched the National Suicide Prevention Network, a landmark initiative uniting leading organisations from across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to strengthen and coordinate life-saving work. Chasing the Stigma was named a founding partner in this Network and the Hub of Hope has been recognised as the official national signposting platform.

This means the Hub of Hope will sit at the very heart of a UK-wide effort to prevent suicide, connecting people in need to over 14,000 local, national, NHS and voluntary services and ensuring that anyone, anywhere in the UK, can find timely and appropriate mental health support. This recognition is not only a testament to the tireless work of our team and partners, but also a validation of the model we’ve built together: one that combines lived experience, technology, and collaboration to save lives. We are proud to stand alongside The Prince of Wales, The Royal Foundation, and the remarkable organisations joining this movement in a shared mission to ensure that no one faces crisis alone.
